Are you frustrated with fabrics available on the market? Would you like to design your own? Join Bobbie or Joel in the fun class to learn how to paint on silk & cotton fabrics. They have created a class that will teach you how to paint flowers, landscapes, anything you want; even create your own artwork. You will no longer be limited to using fabric off the rack. You will be using acrylic fabric art liquid paints and resist on silk and cotton fabrics. You are welcome to bring additional specialty fabrics to try. Break the bonds that limit your creativity. No special talent or experience is necessary. All you need is the desire to try new techniques to personalize your quilts, clothing and interior decor. This technique can be used in traditional, landscape, contemporary or art quilts.

Paints used will be Acrylic Fabric Art Liquid Paints.

Materials:  $49.00 class kit for all supplies to paint, frame, silk pins, silk scarf, brushes, Ghost pen, 6 water based paints, and water based resist with tip, pallet & work sheet & class notes. Kit fee is paid to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Supplies to bring:
Wear old clothing.  Bring latex gloves if you don’t want to get ink on your hands. (Ink is water based and cleans up with soap & water) 1 large zip lock bag, trash bag, paper towels, tooth picks, clear aloe vera, can of shaving cream (lightly or non-scented if possible, Dollar Store works best) plastic coffee stirrer from fast food restaurant, popsicle stick or similar tool, small paint brushes, or any other tool you would like to experiment with.  If you have photos already transferred onto fabric, you may bring them.  Remember this is a learning process and you should not try this on any valuable, one of a kind, photo transfer until you gain experience.
