Create a rainbow of colorful Batik flowers with random flashing stars while learning how to transition across a color spectrum in a quilt.  This spectacular quilt is made with just two pieces and cut with  the oval curved Rulers.  It is from Virginia’s new book, ”Throwing In A Curve”.  Taught by the inventor and author, her quilts can be seen in numerous national and international magazines, including the Sept. ’09 issue of “The Quilter” Magazine, the May/June ’09 issue of Fons & Porter’s magazine, “Love of Quilting”, the Nov, the’02 - ’09 issues of the European quilt magazine “Magic Patch”, the Aug. ’06 – ‘09, issues of the British Quilt Magazine, “Patchwork & Quilting”, the June ’07 issue of the Spanish Quilt magazine “arte patchwork” and the May/June ’08 issue #98 of the Austrian magazine “Patchwork-und Quiltjournal”

Materials:  Kit fee $35 all of the Batik fabric needed to make the quilt.  Additional material:Creative Curves Ellipse Ruler Set (w029R - $23.95)

Please bring your own:

  • 2 yds Background Fabric (light or dark)
  • 28mm & 18mm Rotary Cutters (Olfa, straight handle recommended)
  • Med. Cutting Mat
  • Neutral Thread gray
  • 50mm Pins
  • Basic sewing supplies including: seam ripper, scissors to cut threads, 6 sm. Ziploc bags
