Instructor: Virginia Walton
Class Type - Hands-on Sewing with domestic machine

As the designer and maker of the ’07 IQA Quilt Festival, “2nd Star From The Right”, I fell in love with it’s ribbon or “Serpentine Twist” Border. This wall-hanging, from Virginia’s new “Throwing In A Curve” book, was designed to highlight elements from the ’07 IQA Quilt. These will include cutting and sewing Clamshells and Stars as well as the Serpentine Twist border. In addition, this class includes all the techniques necessary to piece any curved quilt and takes advantage of my ‘No Pins’ circular curves piecing techniques. Virginia’s quilts can be seen in numerous national and international magazines including: the September ’09 issue of “The Quilter” magazine, the March ’07 and ‘09 issues of Fons & Porter’s magazine, “Love of Quilting”, the June ’05 issue of QNM, the’02 through ’09 issues of the European quilt magazine “Magic Patch”, and the Aug. ’06 through ‘09 issues of the British Quilt Magazine, “Patchwork & Quilting”
