Borders frame out a quilt’s design beautifully, and they deserve special attention to make a quilt special. However, borders can seem complicated to a stand-up quilter if you don’t know the secrets to quick design, placement, and quilt turning. Dawn Cavanaugh will demonstrate how to deal with that not-so-perfect border that’s wavy or puckered. Learn several methods to getting a border design onto the quilt from using pantograph patterns to stitching completely freehand designs. Learn Dawn’s quick and simple quilt turning method so that you can handle the side borders without all the starts, stops and pre-marking often required. Dawn will share some of her favorite “low mark” and “no mark” border designs that will get your quilting done in a fraction of the time.
